Morteza Tassavori, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2026, at 9:18 PM EST due to heart failure and respiratory complications. Born on November 19, 1961, in Tehran, Iran, to his loving parents Moochool Sangian and Ahmad Tassavori, Morteza lived a life filled with laughter, strength, love, and devotion to family.

In the early 1980s, Morteza immigrated to the United States and made Maryland his home. He attended the Maryland School for the Deaf, graduating in 1982, and later pursued his passion for automobiles at Lincoln Tech, studying Auto Mechanics. He dedicated many years of hard work and commitment to Black and Decker, where he eventually retired after a respected career.

Morteza was a proud father to his two children, whom he shared with Elizabeth Orsos, and a loving grandfather to three cherished grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his five sisters and one brother, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Known for his warm personality and playful sense of humor, Morteza loved making others laugh and creating lasting memories with those around him. He enjoyed watching movies, fixing cars, cooking on the grill, swimming at the beach, landscaping, and spending quality time with family. He had a special love for old school cars, dogs, his favorite foods were sushi and seafood, and his favorite color is blue — all things that reflected his vibrant and fun-loving spirit.

Above all else, Morteza was a wonderful father, a strong leader, and a deeply caring family man whose love and presence touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. His legacy of kindness, laughter, resilience, and devotion to family will forever live on in the hearts of his loved ones.

“To Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.” — Quran 2:156“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

Morteza will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
